How much does it cost to ship a parcel from India to the USA?
It depends on billed weight — the higher of the parcel's actual weight and its volumetric weight (L × B × H in cm ÷ 5000). ShipGoPick prices from a negotiated rate card that runs to 22 kg for the US and 30 kg for the UK, and the figure you are quoted is the all-in total including 18% GST. What is CSB-IV, and do I need it?
CSB-IV is the courier shipping bill India uses for low-value exports — consignments up to ₹5,00,000 sent through an authorised courier. It is the route most ecommerce sellers ship on, and ShipGoPick generates the paperwork as part of creating the order rather than as a separate filing you chase later.
How is billed weight calculated?
Volumetric weight is length × breadth × height in centimetres divided by 5000. The courier bills whichever is higher, that or the actual weight on the scale, and the result is rounded up to the next slab on the rate card. Big-but-light parcels are charged on the space they occupy, which is why a well-packed box is usually the cheapest change you can make.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 6–10 days to the United States and 3–8 days to the United Kingdom, door to door, depending on the service chosen at booking. Every order shows its own estimate before you commit, and tracking is refreshed every 30 minutes after dispatch.
Do I need an IEC or a GST registration to export?
You need an Importer Exporter Code for commercial exports, and GST registration if your turnover requires it. Gift and sample consignments under the relevant thresholds are handled differently. We check what applies to you during onboarding rather than letting a booking fail at customs.
Which countries can I ship to?
The United States and the United Kingdom are priced instantly from the live rate card in the portal. Over 200 other destinations — the UAE, Australia, Canada, Germany and the rest — are quoted on request, usually the same day.
